Beauty Tips and Skin Care

Healthy skin is really one of the most important ingredients for beauty-enhancement. This article on skin care tips is an effort to bring the 10 best skin care tips to you. The list of skin care tips has been restricted to 10 because anything more that that would not only be difficult to remember, but also shadow the more important skin care tips.

Top 10 skin care tips

So let's see what these top ten skin care tips are:

* Knowing your skin type is one of the most important skin care tip. This is important because not every skin care product suits everyone. In fact, all the skin care products specify the type of skin they cater too.

* Drink a lot of water? This will not keep your skin moist but will help in overall upkeep of your health (and in turn your skin). It might seem a bit awkward to some, however, this is an important skin care tip.

* Cleanse your skin regularly (1-2 times everyday). A very effective skin care tip that helps in getting rid of the dirt and other harsh elements from your skin. Cleansing is especially important when you have been out of your house (and hence exposed to pollutants, dust etc). This skin care tip also advocates the use of Luke warm water for cleansing (hot and cold water, both, cause damage to your skin)

* Be gentle, after all it's your skin. Don't scrub/exfoliate too hard or too often. Similarly, don't apply too much or too many skin care products. A must-to-follow skin care tip.

* Keep your skin moist at all times. This is one of the most important skin care tip. Don't let your skin get dry. Dryness causes the outer layer of your skin to break, leading to a rough and unattractive appearance. Use moisturisers/emollients. Moisturisers work best when applied while the skin is still damp.

* Avoid the use of soap on your face. Soap should only be used from below the neck. A small but important skin care tip.

* Use sunscreen to protect yourself from sun's harmful UV radiations. You can use day-time moisturisers that have sunscreen built into them. Use them even when it's cloudy. UV radiations are known to cause skin cancer, so follow this skin care tip without fail.

* A bit of exercise and good sleep are essential too, not just for skin care but for your health as a whole. Lack of sleep can lead to formation of wrinkles below your eyes and lack of exercise can cause your skin to slack. Moreover, exercise and sleep also help in beating stress. So besides being a skin care tip, this is also a health care tip.

* Treat skin dilemmas with care. This skin care tip is about not ignoring any skin dilemmas. Consult your dermatologist before you go on to use a skin care product (lest you do end up harming your skin even more).

Your Skin Care and Looking Good

Caring for your skin and looking good involves three very important processes.

The processes we are talking about are; cleaning your skin properly, applying a moisturizer to it, and ensuring its protection.

Everything begins with cleanliness of course, for without it, all other processes would not be as effective or even work at all.

There are numerous skin care cleansers on sale, ranging from cheap to those which are exorbitantly priced. But you do not necessarily have to have those expensive items to achieve the results you desire.

To begin, first dissolve your makeup with an oil-based cream. This is a necessary step in the process to prepare your face prior to the application of the cleanser. When that's done, any residue clogging up the skin pores will be removed when you apply the cleanser.

Make sure all traces of makeup are removed before going to bed. Makeup, left overnight, clogs up your pores and eventually causes all kinds of skin problems. There's a saying, a night with your makeup on ages you by four; definitely something to avoid when on a "looking good" routine.

After washing, apply a good moisturizer. Remember, washing removes natural oils from your face whereas the moisturizer replaces it, and helps to keep your skin moist and soft.

Moisturize your face each day, and that includes the skin around your eyes and throat.

It's also well known, if left unprotected against the elements, your skin will age fast. It goes without saying; you need to protect your skin against them too.

No doubt, when you were at school, you had been taught that sunlight is good for the skin. But too much of it, especially during this day and age, will cause damage to your skin, and it may prove irreversible.

Being exposed to the sun is particularly destructive, because UV rays penetrate tissues and are detrimental to the underlying collagen that supports the skin. 70% of skin aging has been attributed directly to the sun.

To help protect your skin against sun damage, choose day moisturizers that have suitable SPF sun protection factors. This is important when you intend to be out in the sun for some prolonged period.

And yes, have your moisturizers on too when driving on sunny days.

It doesn't stop there. Apply balms, i.e moisturizers, to your lips to prevent them parching out and becoming chapped.

Put on sunglasses and apply eye creams to protect the sensitive skin around your eyes. There are creams especially designed to reduce aging signs around the eye area, typically the incidence of fine lines. You can get rid of dark circles, and smoothen the delicate area around your eyes when such creams are applied daily.

Basic Skin Care Natural Tips

Many people are not born with naturally beautiful, glowing skin. Many people must work to get the healthy look which they desire. There are many products on the market which are used to keep skin healthy. Creams and cleansers are not the only way to keep skin looking healthy. There are natural methods which many people use to keep their skin looking beautiful. These are just everyday life style and routine changes but they really make a difference.

One natural way of keeping the skin more beautiful is to give yourself a dry skin exfoliation. This is when a soft, natural brush is used to remove all of the dead skin cells. Dry skin exfoliation should be done before taking a shower. This is the best way of detoxing the skin. Because the skin is the body’s largest organ, it is important to keep it clean and healthy. In giving yourself a dry skin exfoliation, you are also helping to increase lymph and blood circulation. This can reduce puffiness. The added benefit to dry skin exfoliation is that the gentle pressure calms the nervous system.

Another natural method of keeping skin looking beautiful is to keep your digestion regular. Many people with skin problems such as rosacea, acne, and psoriasis also have problems with constipation. There are many ways which a person can prevent constipation. The most important thing to do to avoid it is to stay hydrated. Water bathes cells which eliminates waste products leading to constipation. Drinking plenty of water can keep the skin beautiful. Another way to prevent constipation which causes problem skin is to have enough fiber in your diet. In keeping your body regular, you are also helping to keep your skin beautiful.

If you sit at a desk all day at work and don’t move around too much, your skin can suffer. Poor circulation is a cause of the skin to look puffy and bloated. Poor circulation is also a reason for acne, loss of muscle tone and cellulite. It is not difficult to help a person’s circulation improve. Stretching is an excellent way to promote circulation. Whether it is for a half hour in the morning or even for a few minutes in between meetings at work, this activity will help. Taking a walk around the block can also help. Just ten minutes a day can improve your health as well as your skin. Other activities such as jumping rope, jogging, and aerobics can also help to promote circulation.

Eating too much sugar can result in skin problems. The more sugar a person eats, the more sugar ends up in their blood stream. Over time, this can result in glycation. This is when a sugar molecule sticks to and destroys a protein molecule. These new molecules are called advanced glycation end-products (AGE). These molecules can damage the skin, cartilage, and the also causes lack of elasticity of the skin. This causes wrinkles and sagging of the skin. The best way to prevent AGE’s from forming is to cut back half way on your sugar intake.

Most people may not think so but there are some fats that are good for you. Certain fats can help with inflammatory conditions such as acne, excema, and even people with dry skin. When a person has a deficiency of these fats, they might notice bumps on the back of their arms as well as a skin condition. When a person has a deficiency of these fats one thing they can do is use walnut oil or flaxseed oil. These can be added to a balsamic vinaigrette and put on salad. These oils should not be heated or cooked because they lose the fatty value. Cold water fish such as sardines or salmon are also good sources of this necessary fat. If you do not like fish, there are also pills which will give you the same type of fat.

Creams and other facial medications are not always necessary trying to achieve beautiful skin. Just changing a few things in your daily routine or your diet can make a huge difference.

Wrinkles, age spots and general sagging are common indications of facial aging in women (and men, too).

Wrinkles are mainly caused by damage below the skin surface. As a person grows old the epidermal cells become thinner and less sticky. The thinner cells make the skin appear noticeably thinner. The decreased stickiness of the cells decreases the efficiency of the barrier function allowing moisture to be released instead of being kept in the skin and the result is the skin loses its elasticity.

How to Get Rid Of Wrinkles Naturally:

2) Make a mixture of 1/4 cup comfrey infusion, 1/4 cup witch hazel and 10 drops of patchouli essential oil. This mixture can be stored in a clean bottle and applied on affected areas with a cotton ball.

3) Massage coconut oil on portions of skin prone to wrinkles every night a bedtime.

4) Apply juice of green pineapples and apples on the face daily for 10-15 minutes. This is good for wrinkles treatment.

5) Mix two tablespoons vodka, a tablespoon fennel seeds, and 2 teaspoons honey, and let stay it for three days. Strain out the fennel seeds from that mixture and use this as a toner on the face.
